FY 2024 CoC Builds Program Funding

The HUD Continuum of Care Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for federal fiscal year 2024 was released on July 22, 2024 (FR-6800-N-25A). It outlines requirements for the CoC Builds Program grant, administered by HUD in compliance with the Title 24 part 4, subpart B of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). This is the first time HUD has released this NOFO.

The purpose of this NOFO is to target efforts within CoC geographic areas to address and reduce persons experiencing homelessness by adding new units of permanent supportive housing through new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitations. A local application solicitation process has been initiated by the CoC to obtain applications for review and ranking. Once a final application is recommended and approved by the CoC Council, a final version of the application will be submitted by the Administrative Entity, on behalf of the applicant, to HUD via grants.gov. October 2, 2024: Review & Ranking Panel Convenes (tentative date)
October 21, 2024: Review &Ranking Panel Makes Application Recommendation to CoC Council
November 15, 2024: Final HUD Application due to Administrative Entity for grants.gov Submission
November 21, 2024: Final HUD Application Submission due by 8:59:59 pm Pacific Time
