The Butte Countywide Homeless Continuum of Care is beginning the process of nominating and electing new council members and officers. All CoC members may submit nominations for prospective Council Members.  A total of 6 service area representatives will be elected.

Voting members will be invited to vote at the November 16, 2020 All-Membership meeting of the CoC.   Nomination forms are to be submitted to Briana Harvey-Butterfield no later than 5pm, November 5, 2020.

The nomination period for a priority Council Member who is currently homeless or formerly homeless is now open until December 20, 2019.
  • Nominees must be willing to be nominated and willing to serve should they be elected to the position. Please contact the individual(s) for approval prior to submitting the nomination form. The elected council member will complete the term which began January 1, 2018 and ends December 31, 2020.
  • The attached form should be used for all nominations and either sent via email as listed below.
The Council Members will appoint one of the nominees to the Council at the January 2020 CoC meeting.

Butte Homeless CoC Members -

The Butte Countywide Homeless Continuum of Care is beginning the process of nominating and electing new council members and officers. All CoC members (you) may submit nominations for prospective Council Members.

  • You may nominate yourself or another CoC member. (Attached is the membership roster for your reference.)
  • Nominees must be willing to be nominated, so please contact the individual(s) for approval prior to submitting the nomination form. Elected council members will serve a two year term.
  • The attached form should be used for all nominations. The individual must represent at least one service area; up to two areas may be selected. The form can be completed and submitted electronically.
  • A total of 6 Service Area representatives will be elected. A nominee may qualify for more than one service area. There is no limit to the number of nominations made.
  • All nominations must be received by Monday, November 11th at 5:00pm, submitted to any of the emails below. (Election Committee: Anastacia Snyder, Marie Demers, Meagan Meloy)

No nominations for local homeless coalitions (Greater Chico Homeless Task Force, Greater Oroville Homeless Coalition), nor for local jurisdictions will be taken. These are appointed positions and will be confirmed after voting for the six open slots.

The calendar for the full election process is attached. Voting members will be invited to vote at the November 18, 2019 All-Membership meeting of the CoC.
