California Emergency Solutions and Housing Program (CESH)

CESH 1

In August 2018, CESH Round 1 was authorized by SB 850 to assist persons experiencing or at risk of homelessness. A total of $53 million was made available throughout the state to Administrative Entities of eligible CoCs for the following eligible uses: rental assistance, housing relocation, and stabilization services; operating subsidies; flexible housing subsidies; operating support for emergency housing interventions; systems support; development or updating of Coordinated Entry System; and/or development of a plan addressing actions to be taken within the CoC service area if no such plan exists.
