Catalyst Domestic Violence Services
Our mission is to reduce the incidence of intimate partner violence through crisis intervention, community education and the promotion of healthy relationships. As the only dedicated intimate partner violence service provider in Butte County, we offer a variety of housing options. We have a confidential emergency shelter, transitional housing, as well as individualized housing programs that assist individuals to obtain and maintain their own stable housing. Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT)
The Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT) offers four programs to house Butte County's Homeless residents. The Housing Now program provides permanent housing to individuals and families. This master lease program sublets rooms in shared housing for single adults. Clients are provided supportive services, case management, and property management and maintenance for the residences. The HUSH Program rents homes to families at no more than 30% of their income and provides supportive services along with a case manager. The Camp Fire Housing Access Model Program creates incentives for landlords to rent to people who lost housing in the Camp Fire and is funded via grant from the California Community Foundation. The Redwood Housing Program is a collaboration with CSU-Chico. This master lease program sublets individual bedrooms to CSU students who are homeless. Click here to visit agency website. |

First 5 Butte County Children and Families Commission (F5BC), a unit of local government is governed by a nine-member, and five alternate, commission with independent authority over the strategic plan and local trust fund. Home & Heart is a non-profit homesharing organization in Butte County that works to expand affordable housing options, assist older adults to age in place and to decrease social isolation. We do this through facilitation of matches between older adults who want to age in place and have an extra room in their home (home providers) and members of our community seeking affordable housing and willing to help (home seekers). Homeshare participants receive support and case management throughout the match including needs assessments, living agreements, on-going follow ups, conflict resolution and transition support as needed.
